Your adventures with the Command Communications Console reminds me of similar escapades with the Coleco CB-40 walkie talkies. I can recall friends and I barking random CB terms into the walkie talkies (they came with a useful book of CB codes and slang). On a couple occasions, we had some people that were trying to legitimately use their CBs more than a little peeved at us.

Scott, nice write up! Alpha meant a lot to me too. I had no idea you were in Alpha when I was until much later as well. And yes, I have to admit, a club with girls in ST uniforms was a big plus. I know, I married one of ‘em!

What a great movie! Ghidra (Ghidora?) zapping everything with its electric breath. Godzilla doing the highland fling. And Nick Adams hitching up his pants. A lot. What acting! (I am sure he was chosen because, not only did he work cheap, he didn’t tower over all the other actors.)

A definite choice to talk about at Bubonicon’s Cheesemagnet panel!
